The Festival of Voice is a week-long immersion in singing at the highest level โ rigorous, restorative and artistically expansive in equal measure. Whether you are drawn to the grandeur of the choral repertoire, the intimacy of song, or the dramatic fire of opera, each pathway offers structured development, individual attention and the joy of shared music-making in an exceptional setting.
All pathways include two 30-minute individual sessions with members of our world-class faculty and musical coaching, classes, and a daily group warm-up session. This ensures every singer receives focused, tailored guidance within the wider festival experience.

ChoralFest
Our flagship choral pathway centres on Messa da Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi โ a work of seismic power and lyrical intensity. Designed for singers who thrive on ensemble energy while continuing to refine their individual instrument, this pathway blends technical work with large-scale musical preparation.
ChoralFest includes:
- A total of 8 hours direct contact time each day across:
- Full participation in all sectional and tutti rehearsals of Verdi’s Messa da Requiem
- Small ensemble sessions
- Group vocal technique sessions
- One 30-minute one to one singing lesson
- One further 30-minute one to one coaching
- Take part in the public performance of Verdi’s Requiem in Milton Abbey
- Opportunities to take part in our Faculty-led masterclasses
- Access to our faculty-led evening recitals and talks
- Social events with all participants of the Festival including Sing-a-Long Cinema Night and Cabaret Evening
SongFest
SongFest is devoted to the marriage of poetry and music โ where breath, language and imagination meet. Ideal for singers who wish to deepen interpretative nuance and stylistic understanding, this pathway balances technical refinement with textual insight.
SongFest includes:
- A total of 8 hours direct contact time each day across:
- Song interpretation workshops (text, language & poetry focus)
- Song Cycles Lab (exploring narrative and structure)
- Guided listening sessions (style, history, performance practice)
- Group vocal technique sessions
- One 30-minute one to one singing lesson
- One further 30-minute one to one coaching
- Opportunities to take part in our Faculty-led masterclasses and lunchtime recital series
- Access to our faculty-led evening recitals and talks
- Social events with all participants of the Festival including Sing-a-Long Cinema Night and Cabaret Evening
OperaFest
OperaFest immerses singers in the vocal and dramatic demands of operatic repertoire. Designed for those seeking greater dramatic immediacy, stylistic confidence and vocal stamina, this pathway unites technical discipline with theatrical courage.
OperaFest includes:
- A total of 8 hours direct contact time each day across:
- Opera ensembles class
- Opera Arias class
- Dedicated Recitative Workshops
- Stagecraft and character work
- Guided listening sessions (style, language, dramatic context)
- Group vocal technique sessions
- One 30-minute one to one singing lesson
- One further 30-minute one to one coaching
- Opportunities to take part in our Faculty-led masterclasses and lunchtime recital series
- Access to our faculty-led evening recitals and talks
