Where is the Festival of Voice held?

The Festival will be held at Milton Abbey School, Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 0BZ, UK.

Milton Abbey School is home to a stunning Abbey church, founded in the 10th century by King Athelstan, and an exquisite Georgian mansion house, set in one of Dorset’s most beautiful locations.

The nearest train stations include Dorchester and Gillingham and trains from these stations travel direct to London Waterloo, where connections are available to Gatwick and Heathrow airports. Airports in the South West include Bournemouth, Southampton, Bristol and Exeter.

How long is the Festival?

The Festival runs for one intensive week, from 19th – 26th July 2026.

Residential participants can check-in from 4pm on Sunday 19th; check-out is before 11am on Sunday 26th.

Non-residential participants should arrive from 5pm on Sunday 19th, ready to join the Welcome Session at 5:15pm

How can I book my place at the Festival?

Booking is easy through our website with secure payment options.

You can view all of our available Festival Passes here.

What accommodation options are available during the course?

All accommodation is located in school boarding house facilities with shared bathrooms.

All beds are standard UK single beds unless otherwise stated.

All rooms are allocated on a single occupancy basis unless you have chosen to book a twin room.

There are a limited number of twin rooms available. We recommend early booking to avoid disappointment.

Is there support available for participants with special requirements?

Yes, please contact us with any special requirements via email on info@festivalofvoice.co.uk in good time. We will do our best to accommodate your needs appropriately.

Can a carer or companion attend the Festival?

Yes. We are pleased to welcome carers or essential companions who need to accompany a participant. A Support Companion Pass is available, subject to capacity at the venue. Please contact us in advance so we can discuss your requirements and make the necessary arrangements.

What should I bring to the course?

Bring comfortable clothing, your enthusiasm, and any personal music materials you might need with three copies (music for classes & something to perform at the Cabaret…) and a pencil. We suggest bringing at least two or three solo pieces, ideally from memory, that you would be comfortable working on with our tutors during the masterclasses or in one-to-one sessions.

All ChoralFest participants should bring formal black clothing to wear during the final performance of the Verdi Requiem on Saturday 25th July.

Can I bring someone with me?

If you would like to bring a partner, please email info@festivalofvoice.co.uk prior to booking a place and we will do our best to accommodate you. All requests are subject to room availability.
