SongFest is devoted to the marriage of poetry and music — where breath, language and imagination meet. Ideal for singers who wish to deepen interpretative nuance and stylistic understanding, this pathway balances technical refinement with textual insight.
Join us in the spectacular setting of Milton Abbey School in Dorset for an immersive week of singing under the guidance of a truly internationally-renowned faculty led by our Artistic Director, British bass James Platt, supported by soprano Jennifer Davis, mezzo-soprano Victoria Simmonds and tenors Ben Johnson (19-22 Jul) and John Findon (23-26 Jul).

SongFest includes:
- A total of 8 hours direct contact time each day across:
- Song interpretation workshops (text, language & poetry focus)
- Song Cycles Lab (exploring narrative and structure)
- Guided listening sessions (style, history, performance practice)
- Group vocal technique sessions
- One 30-minute one to one singing lesson
- One further 30-minute one to one coaching
- Opportunities to take part in our Faculty-led masterclasses
- Guaranteed seats for all evening recitals and theperformanceof Verdi’s Requiem on Saturday 25th July
- Social events with all participants of the Festival including Sing-a-Long Cinema Night and Cabaret Evening
